Tommy DeJesus was born on 29 July 1999 in Detroit, Michigan. Growing up an only child, Tommy had to rely on his vivid imagination to keep himself entertained in a household where both his parents worked. Starting at the age of 8, in 2007, he began to put this imagination on paper by blogging online and writing short stories about his fantasy worlds. That would later translate into writing full-fledged screenplays for film and television in his adolescent years. Tommy is currently based in Houston, which he refers to as the “cousin city” of Detroit. He finished the manuscript of Black Sheep in September 2025 after 5 years of on-and-off writer’s block due to his entrance into the hellscape that is corporate America.
